1. Sony Entertainment Television, for instance, is all set to sign a deal with Columbia Tristar Studio under which the broadcaster will gain access to the studio's library of over 4,000 movies. According to sources, SET's Hindi movie channel, MAX, has already signed up for the dubbed telecast rights of 'Anaconda', 'Mask of Zorro' and 'Bats'. There are couple of others like 'Godzilla', 'Karate Kid', 'Men In Blue' and 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', etc, that the viewers are likely to be treated with in the next six months.
2. Zee Cinema is also planning to seek access to MGM's Hollywood library and present its viewers their dubbed versions. While STAR's plans couldn't be ascertained, the channel recently slotted 8 PM time on Saturdays for dubbed movies. Of the top 15 movies aired by the channel recently, nine were dubbed.
